Vestry Meeting Highlights

We began with an informal discussion over dinner much like a family meal.  Members had the opportunity to share any issues, joys and God moments that they had experienced since we last met.  It was a good way to get to know members on a more personal basis before the formal business portion of our meeting.  Following an opening prayer by the Canon to the Dean, Andrew Grosso, we had a presentation on the Trinity financial audit for the year ending December 31, 2016.  Click here to see the audit report.  We were very pleased that the audit was “clean” and fairly represents the financial condition of our Cathedral.  In the Senior Warden’s report, David Danforth brought members up to date on various issues including the Diocesan Convention to be held at Advent - Spartanburg in October; identification of potential contractors to repair the Trinity Center; and work on our campus security plans.  Norah Grimball, Warden Emeritus, then discussed proposed Trinity by-law changes and announced the nominating process for parish offices.  We moved to formal reports of the Finance Committee and Treasurer.  Click here for financial information for August.  Various ministerial reports were presented including Children’s Ministry, Stewardship, Youth, Parish Life, and Mission and Outreach.  Andrew Grosso, our newly appointed Canon for Formation and Canon to the Dean, concluded with an overview of his initial thoughts and plans on formation initiatives and strategic planning for Trinity.
