2017 Stewardship Campaign "A Season of Gratitude and Growth"
Gratitude permeates our Episcopal liturgy and infuses our worship. We begin by blessing God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and we end with a resounding “Thanks be to God.” In between there are songs of praise and prayers of thanksgiving. The General Thanksgiving in The Book of Common Prayer lists the reasons we are grateful: God’s goodness and loving-kindness, God’s creation, our preservation, and all of life’s blessings. Most of all, we are grateful for our redemption through his Son, Jesus. Through Jesus, we are no longer separated from the loving Father who created us in his image to be his children. We conclude the General Thanksgiving by pledging, with truly thankful hearts, to praise God not only with our lips but in our lives.
Consider taking the 1% challenge. On the following chart (click link below), find your annual income, then move across until you reach your current giving amount. This will determine your giving percentage. Move to the right to determine how much you are willing to grow in your annual pledge. For example, if in 2016 you gave 5%, consider giving 6% in 2017.
