Grief Recovery Method
The Grief Recovery Method teaches and leads people through a series of small, practical steps that an individual can take to move through a time of loss. Participants who have completed the course have experienced feelings of “lightness,” completeness and calmness.
"Grief is the normal and natural reaction to loss of any kind. While grief is normal and natural, and clearly the most powerful of all emotions, it is also the most neglected and misunderstood experience, often by both the grievers and those around them."
Those words begin the Grief Recovery Handbook and introduce the Grief recovery method.
The Marriage Course
The Marriage Course is for any married couple who wants to build a strong and lasting relationship, especially:
- those who want to enhance their marriage
- those in the first five years of marriage
- those at a challenging stage in their marriage, such as the birth of a child, a career change, teenagers at home, the "empty nest"
- those struggling with issues in their marriage
The course, while based on Christian principles, is very helpful for any couple with or without a Christan faith or church background.
Planning for Your Future
Planning for healthcare in the later stages of life and making final arrangements can be difficult. Open conversations and pre-planning make the transitions easier for family and other loved ones. Making early decisions and wishes known may prevent the need for addressing them during a time of grief and pain.
Planning Your Future will be offered this Spring during the Adult Formation time and a copy of the booklet will be provided for attendees.
Topics include: Health Insurance, Living Arrangements, Legal Documents, Spiritual Planning and Resources.
