The St. Helena Chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King

The St. Helena Chapter of the Order of the Daughters of the King has been instituted at Trinity.  Officers are installed, and three Daughters-At-Large are now admitted into their home-church Trinity chapter! The institution and installation occurred on Sunday, June 18, 2017 during the 6:00 pm service in Keenan Chapel.

This Order is for women who wish to be formally united under a religious rule requiring study and the taking of solemn vows.  One of the vows has to do with wearing the special cross with Latin words translated roughly: “with heart, mind and spirit uphold and bear the cross.”

In working with the National Office it was learned there was a Chapter at Trinity 60 years ago in 1957!  Unfortunately detailed records such as the name of the Chapter and members of the Chapter are no longer available.

An informational meeting is planned for late August for those women who want to learn more about the Order of the Daughters of the King.
